Apple plans to introduce First Smart Watch

by Unknown  |  in latest technology at   3:22 PM

The always innovative Apple, Inc. has started a set of rumors and possible outcomes about its new plans. This time, a classic of fiction movies becomes the center of attention, the smart watch.

Curved glass and defying imagination are the ingredients in this project. The new concept of  bendable glass comes from Corning Glass Technologies. The company, known for its well-known Gorilla Glass, which is used in many tablets and smart phones today, has introduced Willow glass, a glass capable of bending while providing digital information to its holder.

The union of pillar companies such as Apple, Inc. and Corning Glass, can potentially result in a mind-changing technology capable of shaping the way society obtains information and shaping society itself.

Rumors and brief interviews done by The New York Times, indicate that the watch would be an apparently simple piece of glass bended around a person’s wrist. The watch could operate  as a phone and work on Apple’s latest software, which ever at the time of introduction. It could  probably work similarly to an iPad or iPod and even include Siri, a loyal, intelligent assistant that comes with most Apple’s products.

Hand phones may become a “thing of the past.” News, advertisement, E-mail, shows, national and local warnings will instantly have access to your attention.

Moving beyond a small, fragile wrist watch, could in the future Apple,Inc. and Corning Glass Technologies work on building large extension of any space built on Willow Glass? Imagine walking around your home, as each wall made of Willow Glass interacts with you.

Currently, the only obstacle in this project is the human body itself. Pete Bocko, the chief technology officer for Corning Glass Technologies, explains that, the complexity in movements performed by the human body can turn complicated when engineering a piece that will rest on people’s wrist while they continue daily activities.

Nothing is concrete about this project, but enough has been said to set expectations, the same expectations that have been keeping Apple, Inc. alive through out the years. With high competitor such as Samsung, a smart phone could put Apple back at the top of the pyramid.

Investors, get those calculations going!
